Our Services
At Betavet we strongly believe in protecting your pets against infectious and life-threatening diseases. We vaccinate dogs and cats, from the puppy and kitten stage, and right through their adult lives with yearly boosters. We also vaccinate rabbits against serious disease. On every visit your pet will have a complete health check and the vet will advise on flea and worming treatments.
Our vet’s daily surgery can be routine such as neutering and removing lumps, to specialist surgical work – orthopaedics, repairing simple fractures, anterior cruciates, and also specialised ear surgery. The vets perform neutering on dogs, cats, rabbits, ferrets and some small furries. Lumps are also removed from all small animal species, including birds.
Dental health in pets is vitally important as poor teeth can cause other problems in the body – it’s not just toothache! Our team can give your pets complete dental checks and treatment and we have a new air driven dental unit and ultrasonic scaler to help keep their teeth sparkle.
The practice has its own in-house haematology and biochemistry machine, which means blood results can be delivered quickly and efficiently. Our laboratory facilities also include urinalysis and microscopy equipment. Pets can also benefit from our Digital X-ray processor and our ultrasound scanner for medical diagnosis and pregnancy. We also run dedicated blood pressure clinics for cats in a stress-free environment.
Microchipping gives you the best chance of being reunited with your pet should they ever get lost. In the UK since April 2016, it is now compulsory for all dogs over the age of eight weeks to have a microchip. A microchip is also a requirement for the pet passport scheme, necessary if you’re keen to take your pets abroad with you.
Betavet is a PDSA approved practice for Alloa, Stirling & the Hillfoots, and eligible clients can be seen with or without an appointment under the scheme. The practice also takes part in the Cat’s Protection neutering scheme. Please call the practice for more details on these schemes.

Betavet provides veterinary care to Alloa, Stirling and the Hillfoots and we would be happy to see you, with or without an appointment.
As a small independent practice with the highest standards of medical, surgical and diagnostic facilities for our clients, our ethos is helping to keep your pets healthy and well.
There are currently 4 vets and 5 nursing assistants working in the practice.
The team offers a wide range of services and treatments for all cats, dogs, rabbits and small pets. We pride ourselves on our excellent customer service and know that your pet is a member of the family and they deserve the very best of care.
